Marketing Manager — Italy

Key Accountabilities

  • Elaborate a marketing and trade marketing plan for Italy, aligned with EU marketing and local sales, and execute. There must be a yearly plan in line with overall objectives of TCL and also an action plan split in quarters.
  • Propose key products launch and Go to market plans, align with EU marketing, EU Products Management and local sales and execute.
  • Deliver a PR & Social media plan, together with EU marketing and execute
  • Manage the marketing budget for the region within the granted amount

Job Duties

  • Build the marketing and trade marketing plan for the region in cooperation with EU Marketing team and local Sales teams based on a structured analysis of the markets, retail segmentation, competition, end user trends.
  • Support local teams in the execution of the activities and in achieving their sales and budget objectives, while ensuring the product benefits and brand values/equity are properly communicated
  • Visit the Retail Key Accounts regularly to get their strategy and objectives.
  • Lead the product go to markets in the region and build sales out driven programs
  • Ensure efficient spending of local marketing budget and is accountable to keep local marketing spending within validated budget
  • Collaborate with EU Marketing team, Sales team and Product Management team to build product communication and sales promotions
  • Plan and organize production and implementation of all in store activities, including point of sales materials, promotions and promoters by finding the most efficient solutions. Carry out regular visits of the key shops in order to check implementation of planned instore activities and support shop negotiation of better brand instore presence.
  • Manage content used to promote brands and products of key online retailers
  • Organize local trade shows, local customer events and local press events
  • Adapt training programs developped by EU Marketing team to local needs and support local teams in the execution of training programs
  • Collaborate with EU Marketing team to develop or adapt sales tools, catalogs, presentations to effectively present the brands, the products and the marketing initiatives to customers. Check/validate product sheets in local language.
  • Collaborate with EU Marketing team and works with local PR agency press attaché to ensure that PR activities are locally well executed.
  • Collaborate with EU Marketing team to ensure that web sites are well adapted to local needs and work with social media agency to develop local TCL visibility in social media.

Candidate profile

At least 5 years’ experience in retail/Go to Market marketing of durable / consumer goods
Proactive, accountable,”digital” minded, self-driven, flexible, creative, positive.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent Italian (Spanish, Portuguese would be an additional skill)
